What is e-liquid?

E-liquid, also referred to e-juice, vape juice, is a flavored fluid used in e-cigarettes or vape pens that can be heated up by the coil and turned into vapor that can be inhaled by vapers.

E-liquid comes in a wide range of flavors and different nicotine strengths. All vape devices, no matter the size and look of their, need e-liquid to create vapor. E-liquid is a necessary part of e-cigarettes.

What ingredients are in e-liquid?

Vape juice consists of four main ingredients, including PG(Propylene Glycol), VG(Vegetable Glycerin), nicotine, and food grade flavoring. Of course, you can choose e-liquid that doesn’t contain nicotine depending on your preference.

PG(Propylene Glycol) – A colorless, odorless and limpid liquid with a faintly sweet taste. PG is widely used across the food industry and as an ingredient in medicines. You’ll find them in beverages, baked goods, and other household consumables.

VG(Vegetable Glycerin) – Also a clear, odorless liquid with a mild sweet flavor, responsible for producing the vapor in your vapes. VG is very common in food ingredients. For instance, it’s commonly used as a humectant (to keep things moist), sweetener, solvent, and so on.

Nicotine – It is extracted from tobacco plants, which can give you a similar throat hit to traditional tobacco. E-liquid comes in various concentrations of nicotine, ranging from less than 1% up to 5%. Nicotine is optional choice for users. If you don’t like nicotine, you can choose nicotine-free e-juice.

Flavoring – The flavors of e-liquid come from the flavoring. Vape liquids are available in a variety of flavors, such as diverse fruit flavors, beverage flavors, herbal flavors, and tobacco flavors.

Does e-liquid go bad or expire?

Like food or beverage, e-liquid can also go bad. It might change color and turn brown with time. How long the e-liquid lasts will be affected by the environment that it’s stored. Condition like heat, sunlight, and oxygen is detrimental to store e-liquid, which can make it deteriorated faster. Normally, the ingredients in e-liquid have 2 years of shelf life.

How to store e-liquid correctly?

When e-liquid is stored in direct sunlight or in places that are too warm or extremely cold, it will be oxidized and then go bad. The change in temperature can accelerate the ingredients in the e-liquid to break down and become perishable. We should store e-liquid in a cool, dry, dark environment. Besides, we should make sure they remain sealed adequately. And please remember to use it up as soon as possible once you have opened it.

What are e-liquid strengths?

The strength of vape juice often refers to its nicotine content. E-liquid comes in a variety of nicotine strengths. The most common ones that you can expect to find: 3mg/ml, 6mg/m, 10mg/ml, 12mg/ml, 18-24mg/ml and 36mg/ml and above. With so many nicotine strengths available, you are very easy to find the e-liquid that can satisfy your cravings.

Can I use any e-liquid with any vape device?

You may think this is a stupid question and give an exact answer. In fact, you can’t. E-juice ratios are made for specific reasons, and so they have different levels of viscosity (thickness). Thicker e-juices require more power to vaporize, that’s why 70/30 e-juices are best suited to Sub Ohm Vape Kits. The low resistance of the Sub Ohm (below 1ohm) coil allows more power to pass through it, allowing the thicker VG to be vaporized. If you were to add 70/30 e-juice to a coil above 1ohm, the coil wouldn’t get hot enough to vaporize all the e-juice, leading to your coil burning out faster.

On the other hand, 50/50 e-juice is designed for lower-powered devices with coils that have a resistance above 1 ohm. The high resistance of the Plus Ohm coil stops the coil from getting too hot, meaning the thinner PG gets vaporized correctly. If you were to use a 50/50 e-liquid with a Sub Ohm coil, the high power would mean the e-juice is vaporized too quickly, leading to your coil burning out faster.

What happens if the e-juice is accidentally swallowed?
Swallowing a little bit of nicotine-free e-juice will not cause any adverse side effects. However, if your e-juice contains nicotine, the result is different as nicotine is an addictive material. Many doses may cause poison. If you accidentally swallow a lot of juice, no matter the strength, call the hospital as soon as possible.

What nicotine strength does Vabeen products use?

Our vape pod system currently comes with a nicotine strength of 5% (50mg per milliliter). We also offer other strength editions for specific regions. Surely, we can provide a non-nicotine pod system for some countries. In other words, the nicotine strength of e-liquid can be customized.
