TSA and FAA E-cigarette Rules
The Transportation Security Administration(TSA) and Federal Aviation Administration(FAA) prohibit any vape devices in checked baggage. This ban is due to the batteries in the devices and the risk of fire from these devices in the baggage hold.
Battery-powered E-cigarettes, vaporizers, vape pens, atomizers, and electronic nicotine delivery systems may only be carried in the aircraft cabin (in carry-on baggage or on your person).
How to Take vape liquid in Your Carry-on?
Vape liquid is also a liquid. According to the TSA Liquid Rules, if you’re carrying e-juice with you, it should be limited in quantity to a bottle no larger than 3 oz, packed into a one-quart transparent plastic bag or container.
If bringing more than 3 ounces of vaping liquid, you will have to pack this separately into your checked luggage. If this is the case, just keep in mind that the vape pen must still be carried with you on your person or in your carry-on.
E-liquids in a container larger than 100ml are prohibited by all airlines, and you should ensure all liquids must be 100ml or less.

Notably, although you aren’t using it, you’re not allowed to charge your e-cig during flights. If you break the regulation, you could face a heavy fine.
